The producers of new 'Star Wars' stand-alone film have announced the name of the project,' Star Wars
The film, which is the first in the series, will be helmed by Brit Gareth Edwards and star Oscar nominated actress Felicity Jones, whose role has not been released yet, the BBC reported.
Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger revealed the title along with the release date of 'Star Wars: Episode VIII,' as 26 May 2017.
The spin off project begins shooting in London this summer and has been slated for December 2016 release.
