NBC's 'This Is Us' walked out a big winner at the 24th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

It won the best drama series with Sterling K. Brown winning the award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series. Brown made history by becoming the first African American male to receive the award in this category.

"What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living. What an honour it is to be recognised by your peers for a job well done," Brown said as he accepted the honour.

"This room is a source of endless inspiration for me. I love all of you y'all. People call us weird and strange. The truth of the matter is, everybody is weird and strange and we just embrace ourselves for who we are," he added as reported by E! Online.

He went on to tell his fellow actors to seek love, not fame or money. "Fame won't sustain you, money won't sustain you. The love - keep that love alive; it will keep you going."

The actor beat out Jason Bateman (Ozark), Peter Dinklage (Game of Thrones), David Harbour (Stranger Things), and Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul).

Earlier this month, the 41-year-old became the first black actor to win a Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series, Drama for his portrayal of Randall Pierce in 'This Is Us'.
