Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller was not surprised on ex teammate Mesut Ozil's fading with Arsenal's because of the grueling English schedule.

Muller said that becoming a professional footballer in England was tough because they played a lot more games than the German's did and got no break during winters.

Muller, who scored the killer second goal in Munich's 2-0 victory over Arsenal, said that the players body could regenerate by the time of the tournament but mental recovery took time.

According to Metro.co.uk, Arsenal played eight matches while Bayern enjoyed a five- week long winter break and that was the reason why the English players got mentally exhausted by the time they reached major tournaments.

Ozil was dropped from the Arsenal's squad ahead of their game against Sunderland as the German missed a penalty against Bayern Munich earlier this week.

Muller said that he knew how good Ozil could be and hoped for the German to play many good games for Arsenal, the report added.
