Capital Goods stocks edge higher
Capital Goods stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index increasing 172.39 points or 0.97% at 17917.28 at 09:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Siemens Ltd (up 1.33%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 1.32%),Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (up 1.24%),ABB India Ltd (up 1.06%),Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 0.97%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Carborundum Universal Ltd (up 0.87%), SKF India Ltd (up 0.82%), NBCC (India) Ltd (up 0.62%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 0.61%), and Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 0.38%).
On the other hand, HEG Ltd (down 3.15%), Graphite India Ltd (down 2.27%), and Thermax Ltd (down 1.27%) turned lower.
At 09:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 30.4 or 0.08% at 37562.38.
The Nifty 50 index was up 9.85 points or 0.09% at 11136.25.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 13.26 points or 0.1% at 12699.76.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 10.56 points or 0.25% at 4291.73.
On BSE,662 shares were trading in green, 728 were trading in red and 78 were unchanged.
