Capital Goods stocks slide

Capital Goods stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index decreasing 131.91 points or 0.78% at 16809.57 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, NBCC (India) Ltd (down 1.59%), Schaeffler India Ltd (down 1.49%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (down 1.14%),Honeywell Automation India Ltd (down 1.14%),Siemens Ltd (down 0.84%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Havells India Ltd (down 0.84%), Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (down 0.58%), Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 0.51%), Finolex Cables Ltd (down 0.17%), and SKF India Ltd (down 0.12%).

On the other hand, AIA Engineering Ltd (up 1.57%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 1.27%), and GMR Infrastructure Ltd (up 0.7%) turned up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 156.67 or 0.38% at 41304.59.

The Nifty 50 index was down 39.45 points or 0.32% at 12175.1.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 55.7 points or 0.42% at 13440.03.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.94 points or 0.11% at 4701.2.

On BSE,1294 shares were trading in green, 1028 were trading in red and 161 were unchanged.
