The Mainland China equity market ended higher on Monday, 14 August 2017, as mainland investors chased for bargain hunting after heavy losses in the previous session. However, margain gains were limited as economic data suggested the potential for slowing growth in the world's second-largest economy. Most of SSE sectors inclined, with shares in the high-tech, consumer and healthcare firms being notable gainers. The blue-chip CSI300 index rose 1.3%, to 3,694.68, while the Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.9% to 3,237.36 points.
