Healthcare stocks fall
Healthcare stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 40.26 points or 0.3% at 13339.55 at 13:47 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Hester Biosciences Ltd (down 2.92%), Granules India Ltd (down 2.64%),Procter & Gamble Health Ltd (down 1.96%),Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 1.95%),Neuland Laboratories Ltd (down 1.72%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Medicamen Biotech Ltd (down 1.67%), Biocon Ltd (down 1.59%), Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (down 1.48%), Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (down 1.37%), and Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 1.31%).
On the other hand, Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd (up 16.24%), Marksans Pharma Ltd (up 16.15%), and Fermenta Biotech Ltd (up 12.93%) turned up.
At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 342.87 or 0.84% at 41281.59.
The Nifty 50 index was up 94.9 points or 0.79% at 12148.85.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 67.89 points or 0.51% at 13373.68.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 16.23 points or 0.35% at 4703.7.
On BSE,1298 shares were trading in green, 1050 were trading in red and 171 were unchanged.
