Industrials stocks edge higher
Industrials stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Industrials index increasing 16.99 points or 0.58% at 2939.37 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, SORIL Infra Resources Ltd (up 7.77%), Kridhan Infra Ltd (up 5%),Indiabulls Integrated Services Ltd (up 4.99%),Electrosteel Castings Ltd (up 4.64%),Simplex Infrastructures Ltd (up 4.59%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Sintex Plastics Technology Ltd (up 4.59%), ITD Cementation India Ltd (up 4.16%), Jaypee Infratech Ltd (up 3.62%), BGR Energy Systems Ltd (up 3.52%), and Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (up 2.78%).
On the other hand, Reliance Naval & Engineering Ltd (down 4.85%), Mercator Ltd (down 4.17%), and Ramky Infrastructure Ltd (down 3.52%) turned lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 85.74 or 0.21% at 41339.48.
The Nifty 50 index was up 34.7 points or 0.29% at 12203.15.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 50.83 points or 0.37% at 13750.2.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 12.46 points or 0.26% at 4785.65.
On BSE,901 shares were trading in green, 419 were trading in red and 59 were unchanged.
