Capital Goods shares gain

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 124.98 points or 0.74% at 17068.91 at 09:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 1.39%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 1.07%),Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 1.04%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 0.99%),Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.93%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 0.92%), SKF India Ltd (up 0.77%), Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 0.69%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 0.55%), and Siemens Ltd (up 0.54%).

On the other hand, AIA Engineering Ltd (down 1.82%), HEG Ltd (down 0.54%), and NBCC (India) Ltd (down 0.43%) moved lower.

 

At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 85.74 or 0.21% at 41339.48.

The Nifty 50 index was up 34.7 points or 0.29% at 12203.15.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 50.83 points or 0.37% at 13750.2.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 12.46 points or 0.26% at 4785.65.

On BSE,901 shares were trading in green, 419 were trading in red and 59 were unchanged.
