Industrials stocks rise modestly
Industrials stocks were trading in green, with the S&P BSE Industrials index increasing 6.52 points or 0.22% at 2926.31 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Industrials index, Adani Green Energy Ltd (up 4.98%), Kridhan Infra Ltd (up 4.9%),Time Technoplast Ltd (up 4.39%),Indiabulls Integrated Services Ltd (up 4.38%),SORIL Infra Resources Ltd (up 4.13%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Simplex Infrastructures Ltd (up 3.51%), Jain Irrigation Systems Ltd-DVR (up 3.2%), SpiceJet Ltd (up 3.12%), Welspun Enterprises Ltd (up 3.05%), and Ramkrishna Forgings Ltd (up 2.89%).
On the other hand, Reliance Naval & Engineering Ltd (down 4.82%), Sintex Plastics Technology Ltd (down 4.81%), and Mercator Ltd (down 4%) turned lower.
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 158.51 or 0.38% at 41399.49.
The Nifty 50 index was down 41.65 points or 0.34% at 12214.2.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 29.89 points or 0.22% at 13678.64.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 4.31 points or 0.09% at 4769.64.
On BSE,796 shares were trading in green, 659 were trading in red and 62 were unchanged.
