Oil and Gas shares fall

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 148.03 points or 1.56% at 9333.73 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, GAIL (India) Ltd (down 4.18%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 4.03%),Castrol India Ltd (down 3.67%),Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 3.59%),Reliance Industries Ltd (down 1.81%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 1.77%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 1.22%), Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 0.46%), and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 0.39%).

On the other hand, Petronet LNG Ltd (up 1.66%), moved up.

 

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 5.67 or 0.02% at 29952.44.

The Nifty 50 index was up 53.1 points or 0.61% at 8694.55.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 21.22 points or 0.22% at 9491.67.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 32.43 points or 0.94% at 3417.28.

On BSE,1053 shares were trading in green, 1118 were trading in red and 141 were unchanged.
