Auto shares ease
Auto stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Auto index falling 283.65 points or 2.47% at 11210.62 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd (down 6.08%), TVS Motor Company Ltd (down 5.48%),Maruti Suzuki India Ltd (down 4.83%),Cummins India Ltd (down 3.93%),Eicher Motors Ltd (down 2.59%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Bajaj Auto Ltd (down 2.37%), Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (down 1.38%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (down 0.73%), and Tata Motors Ltd (down 0.07%).
On the other hand, Balkrishna Industries Ltd (up 3.17%), Amara Raja Batteries Ltd (up 3.07%), and Ashok Leyland Ltd (up 1.51%) moved up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 5.67 or 0.02% at 29952.44.
The Nifty 50 index was up 53.1 points or 0.61% at 8694.55.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 21.22 points or 0.22% at 9491.67.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 32.43 points or 0.94% at 3417.28.
On BSE,1053 shares were trading in green, 1118 were trading in red and 141 were unchanged.
