Oil and Gas shares fall

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 246.19 points or 1.72% at 14056.7 at 13:48 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 4.84%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 3.07%),GAIL (India) Ltd (down 1.91%),Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.86%),Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.17%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Reliance Industries Ltd (down 1.15%), Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 1%), and Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 0.4%).

On the other hand, Castrol India Ltd (up 3.93%), and Petronet LNG Ltd (up 1.26%) moved up.

 

At 13:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 8.17 or 0.02% at 40905.65.

The Nifty 50 index was down 16.35 points or 0.14% at 12019.45.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 6.04 points or 0.04% at 14710.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 3.23 points or 0.06% at 5047.74.

On BSE,923 shares were trading in green, 1305 were trading in red and 139 were unchanged.
