Oil and Gas shares fall

Oil and Gas stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index falling 309.37 points or 2.2% at 13774.01 at 13:52 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Oil&Gas index, Indraprastha Gas Ltd (down 3.24%), Castrol India Ltd (down 3.16%),GAIL (India) Ltd (down 3.06%),Oil & Natural Gas Corpn Ltd (down 3%),Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 2.75%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 2.74%), Petronet LNG Ltd (down 1.82%), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (down 1.37%), Gujarat State Petronet Ltd (down 1.14%), and Reliance Industries Ltd (down 0.26%).

At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 120.69 or 0.29% at 41137.05.

 

The Nifty 50 index was down 44.55 points or 0.37% at 12068.9.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 106.79 points or 0.73% at 14575.86.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 24.13 points or 0.48% at 5037.72.

On BSE,793 shares were trading in green, 1606 were trading in red and 170 were unchanged.
