Quick Wrap: Nifty FMCG Index declines 2.41,NIFTY Tumbles 1.32%

Nifty FMCG index ended down 2.41% at 30067.55 today. The index is down 4.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Godrej Consumer Products Ltd slipped 3.84%, ITC Ltd shed 3.05% and United Spirits Ltd dropped 2.84%. The Nifty FMCG index is up 18.00% over last one year compared to the 12.81% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Realty index is down 1.99% and Nifty Metal index has dropped 1.61% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has dropped 1.32% to close at 11287.5 while the SENSEX is down 1.34% to close at 37413.13 today.
