Quick Wrap: Nifty IT Index records a surge of 1.23%

Nifty IT index ended up 1.23% at 15130.3 today. The index has lost 1.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, NIIT Technologies Ltd jumped 3.39%, Just Dial Ltd gained 2.73% and Mindtree Ltd rose 2.34%. The Nifty IT index has increased 4.00% over last one year compared to the 12.90% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty PSE index increased 1.15% and Nifty Energy index added 0.97% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 added 0.45% to close at 11910.15 while the SENSEX witnessed a rise of 0.43% to close at 40412.57 today.
