Quick Wrap: Nifty Media Index rises 3.87%

Nifty Media index closed up 3.87% at 2057.15 today. The index is down 3.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Dish TV India Ltd added 16.06%, Den Networks Ltd rose 12.12% and Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd gained 6.63%. The Nifty Media index is down 31.00% over last one year compared to the 5.80% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Auto index added 1.86% and Nifty Metal index gained 1.77% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 recorded a gain of 0.73% to close at 11582.9 while the SENSEX recorded a gain of 0.69% to close at 38823.11 today.
