Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index declines 2.21,NIFTY Tumbles 1.30%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended down 2.21% at 3066.7 today. The index is down 6.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, IDBI Bank Ltd slipped 3.51%, Syndicate Bank fell 3.28% and Bank of India dropped 2.76%. The Nifty PSU Bank index is down 5.00% over last one year compared to the 15.14% surge in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Pharma index is down 2.06% and Nifty Commodities index has slid 1.90% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 has declined 1.30% to close at 11438.6 while the SENSEX is down 1.22% to close at 37922.17 today.
