Quick Wrap: Nifty PSU Bank Index records a surge of 2.51%

Nifty PSU Bank index ended up 2.51% at 3119.65 today. The index has added 11.00% over last one month. Among the constituents, Indian Bank rose 6.60%, Bank of Baroda gained 3.09% and Bank of India jumped 2.73%. The Nifty PSU Bank index has increased 33.00% over last one year compared to the 2.57% spike in benchmark Nifty 50 index. In other indices, Nifty Bank index increased 1.91% and Nifty Private Bank index increased 1.88% on the day. In broad markets, the Nifty 50 increased 0.99% to close at 17798.75 while the SENSEX increased 1.12% to close at 59688.22 today.
