Rupee opens lower

At 61.65/66 per dollar

Indian rupee opened weaker on Tuesday (29 October 2013) at 61.65/66 per dollar, as against its previous close of 61.52/53 on Monday, due to fall in local equities and increased demand for the US currency from importers ahead of the RBI's policy review meeting.
