Rupee opens slight weaker

At 61.48/49 per dollar

The partially convertible Indian rupee opened on Monday (28 October 2013) slightly weaker at 61.48/49 per dollar compared with its Friday's close of 61.46/47 on increased selling of the US currency by exporters and a higher opening in the domestic equity market.
