Tata Steel Ltd rose 2.96% today to trade at Rs 347.9. The S&P BSE Metal index is up 1.6% to quote at 8525.61. The index is down 15.4 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Jindal Steel & Power Ltd increased 2.92% and Vedanta Ltd added 2.19% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 36.36 % over last one year compared to the 2.68% fall in benchmark SENSEX.

On the BSE, 53354 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 8.35 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 646.7 on 21 Sep 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 322.45 on 26 Aug 2019.
