FIFA bans Qatar Football vice president for a year

The vice-president of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Saoud Al-Mohannadi has been banned by global governing body FIFA's ethics committee from all football-related activities for one year.
"The adjudicatory chamber of the Ethics Committee, chaired by Hans-Joachim Eckert, has banned Saoud Al-Mohannadi, Vice-President of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and a Vice-President of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), for one year from all football-related activities on a national and international level. The ban comes into force immediately," FIFA said in a statement on Wednesday, reports Sputnik.
The FIFA decision comes after Al-Mohannadi failed to cooperate as a witness in a third-party proceedings and, thus, he was found guilty in violation of Article 18 that regulates duty of disclosure, cooperation and reporting as well as Article 4 on general obligation to collaborate of the FIFA Code of Ethics (FCE).
As a result, Al-Mohannadi was banned for one year and fined 20,000 Swiss francs ($19,900).
