Four youth out on picnic drowned

Four youth who went out for a picnic on the banks of the River Gambhir in this Madhya Pradesh district drowned on Sunday, police said.

According to the police control room, the four youth - Avizar, Abbas, Azifa and Hussain - who went to the Ambodya embankment, went in for a dip but drowned when they entered deep water.

District Magistrate Kavindra Kivayat said the bodies had been recovered and sent for post-mortem.
