Justice Dattu appointed member of International Coordination Committee

Former chief justice of India Justice H.L. Dattu (retd) has been appointed member of the International Coordinating Committee (ICC) for National Human Rights Institutions, an official statement said on Tuesday.
Justice Dattu, who was unanimously chosen for the vacant post, will represent the Asia Pacific region along with three other members from Mongolia, Qatar and Australia.
The International Coordinating Committee for National Human Rights Institutions (ICC) is the international association of national human rights institutions (NHRIs) from all parts of the globe.
Justice Dattu was recently appointed chairperson of the National Human Rights Commission.
