Kuwait to host Gulf Cup
The Kuwait Football Association on Saturday announced that the country will host the Gulf Cup of Nations.
Ahmed Al Youssef Al Sabah, the head of Kuwait Football Association said that the tournament will begin on December 22 and run till January 5. The opening game will be between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, reports Xinhua news agency.
Kuwait offered to host the Gulf Cup after world soccer governing body FIFA this week lifted its two-year suspension from international football.
