A 28-year old woman from Nigeria was arrested on charge of fatally stabbing her live-in partner during a scuffle over a trivial issue in west Delhi, police said on Sunday.
Police said accused Ujjma was staying with Izzu, 30, in a live-in relationship at Vipin Garden area of Uttam Nagar. Both had a scuffle on Saturday afternoon over some issue.
"Both punched and kicked each other. She told police she took out a knife and repeatedly hit him on his chest and arm pit. As he collapsed on the floor, she informed police to get him admitted to hospital," a senior police officer said.
Izzu was taken to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries.
Police faced difficulty in arresting Ujjma as dozens of Nigerian nationals had gathered near her rented apartment.
Izzu was into import-export of garments, the officer added.
