She's family: Joe Jonas on ex-girlfriend Lovato

Singer Joe Jonas says he doesn't think of his former girlfriend Demi Lovato "as an ex". Instead, he counts her as family.

The two dated for just a few months in 2010 three years after first meeting while working on the Disney channel's "Camp Rock".

"She is family. We have known Demi for so many years. We have performed with her, toured with her. She is just incredible. It's not always the case," Jonas told eonline.com.

"Sometimes you have to know when to fold the cards. I don't think of her as an ex. We are really good friends. We have gone through so much together and we are really close now."
