Shuttler Kashyap retires hurt at French Open

Indian shuttler Parupalli Kashyap retired hurt to concede a quarter final spot to Englishman Rajiv Ouseph in the $275,000 French Open Superseries here on Thursday.
During his round of 16 match, reigning Commonwealth Games champion Kashyap lost the first game 11-21 before winning the second game 21-13 at the Pierre de Coubertin Stadium.
World No.10 Kashyap was trailing 2-4 in the deciding game when he opted against continuing the competition due to fitness issues.
