As an article by senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and former Union Finance Minister Yashwant Sinha in The Indian Express, criticising the BJP government’s handling of the economy, became viral on social media and outside, various ministers and ministries were expected to rubbish the criticism against their government. 

However, a senior minister was heard saying to his officials that the government should be magnanimous enough to learn from the criticism even if it was motivated and had many technical faults.
