This refers to the edit “UPA without Pranab” (October 3). I don’t think anyone in the Congress party has the stature to fill Pranab Mukherjee’s shoes. Mukherjee has acted as the key troubleshooter for the party more than often. It would be interesting to see how the Congress manages Mamata Banerjee and the DMK – and, indeed, their demands to re-think foreign direct investment – in the winter session of Parliament.
