Murugesan, who represents the Tenkasi constituency, on Friday met Palaniswamy at his residence in Chennai.
"My decision is reflection of what the AIADMK cadres and people of Tamil Nadu want. People support this government. Palaniswamy will complete all the work as directed by Jayalalithaa," she said while speaking to reporters after meeting the Chief Minister.
She alleged that the 18 MLAs, who are backing Dhinakaran and staying at a hill station in Coorg, have not doing their duties as mandated by the voters.
"Dhinakaran is controlling them. MLAs should work for party and public," she said.
Meanwhile, Madurai Bench on Friday dismissed a petition asking to stay the disqualification of 18 MLAs, who have joined hands with Dhinakaran. The petition was filed on Thursday.
