Announcement Corporate

JetLite , Jet Airways’ wholly-owned full economy subsidiary airline, will unveil its new menu plan on all its domestic services, effective August 8, 2008.

In a bid to offer its passengers the freedom to customize meal choices, passengers on-board a JetLite flight will now be able to ‘Buy On Board’ a range of ready to eat snack-meals (sandwiches, savories, Rolls etc), as also a selection of beverages.

All food items will be hygienically packed and served by the airline’s warm and friendly cabin crew. Passengers may make their meal choices and purchase the same against cash payments.

JetLite also offers its passengers an exciting in-flight shopping experience through a shop onboard programme branded ‘LITEDEALS’. Under this programme, passengers are entitled to a “Scratch & Win” offer which will give them an opportunity to win free gifts, when they take any of the airline’s domestic flights.

Under the ‘LITEDEALS’ programme, passengers may choose from a wide range of attractively priced branded products, where the minimum auction prices are outlined in a product catalogue. Passengers can make an informed buying decision with the MRP of the product clearly listed. Only two winners are declared for each product per flight. On disembarking, the winning passengers are required to visit the airline’s counters at the arrival terminals, where they may collect their products.

The airline’s “Scratch & Win” offer allows every passenger travelling on a JetLite flight, the chance to win an exciting product absolutely free.* Scratch cards are distributed to passengers onboard by the cabin crew. Lucky passengers win exciting gifts upon scratching the card. The product may also be couriered home, if the winning passenger so desires.

Commenting on the initiatives, Mr. Saroj. K. Datta, Director, JetLite, said, “JetLite is fast evolving into the country’s established all-economy domestic and international carrier. This freedom of choice of in-flight meals is aimed at providing flexibility to our passengers to choose and customize their meals on board”.

While the LITEDEAL programme is currently limited to the 14 Airports having LITEDEAL counters, efforts are ongoing to extend this scheme to all the airports JetLite currently flies to.
