The Chief Judicial Magistragte ordered that the girl be handed over to her parents custody as she is a minor.
The girl, who was traced and medically examined here yesterday, had allegedly eloped with her boy friend belonging to a different community, at Kaserwa Khurd village in Prabudhnagar district.
A controversy had broken out after Mathur allegedly told a man who had come to lodge a missing complaint about his sister that had he been in his place, he would have shot her for eloping.
Mathur's remarks created an outrage and he was shunted out by Uttar Pradesh government.
