2 doctors among 8 health officials fined in J&K

Authorities today imposed fine of Rs 1,000 each on two doctors and Rs 500 each on six other health officials for violation of proper dress code in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Medical Officer Reasi, Parminder Singh, found the doctors and other health department officials not adhering to proper dress code during their duty in a surprise visit at Community Health Center Katra, an health official said.

The CMO has asked the medical staff to display their identity cards properly and maintain proper dress code during the duty hours.

The CMO also directed Block Medical Officer, Katra, upon the segregation of the biomedical waste as per the norms laid down in the Biomedical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules and to keep the waste baskets in every area where it is generated.
