2 killed in road mishap in J&K

Two persons were killed and seven others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir today.

The driver of the passenger vehicle that was on its way to Ukrail village from Pogal village in Ramban lost control of the vehicle near Shalgari area after which fell into a gorge, a police officer said.

He said two dead bodies have been recovered from the spot and the injured were rescued and shifted to the District Hospital, Ramban for treatment.

A case has been registered and efforts are on to identify the two deceased.
