2 killed in road mishap in Mathura

Two persons were killed and twelve others injured in a collision between two buses near Zabara village in the wee hours of today.

"All the injured were admitted to district hospital and Vrindaban hospital where they are recovering," police said.

The accident occurred at milestone number 97 under Mat police station when both the Noida-bound buses from Etawah, collided when one of the drivers tried to overtake another.

20-year-old Shahrukh of Nagla Ramgarh in Ferozabad and 22-year-old Arvinder Yadav, a resident of Akbarpura Karibina in Etawah succumbed to injuries on the spot.

There has been no trace of the drivers, police stated.
