4 workers killed in gas poisoning in China

Four Chinese workers were killed by gas poisoning while laying underground power lines here today.

The accident happened in Changping District in the city when seven workers were laying the power lines.

The project is being undertaken by a Beijing-based hydroelectric technology company. The workers were poisoned by the gas in the tunnel.

Four of them were killed while three others are still being treated in a local hospital, state-run Xinhua news agency reported.
