Five persons were killed and 15 others injured when a bus overturned near Gujiadih More in the district, police said.
The condition of six of those injured was stated to be serious, Ansuman Kumar, a trainee IPS officer posted as the in-charge of respective police station, told reporters.
The bus, which left Bokaro for Giridih, overturned after the driver lost balance at a bend, killing two children, two women and a man, he said.
Three of the victims belonged to the same family.
