55-year-old man shot dead

A 55-year-old man was allegedly allegedly shot dead by unidentified attackers in Sinhali village here, police said today.

The victim was abducted from his house and shot at a nearby field last night, they said, adding the matter is being investigated.

In another incident, police today recovered the body of a 25-year-old man in a jungle at Dudhaheri village here.

The victim is yet to be identified. The body has been sent for postmortem, they said.
