Six persons have tested positive for swine flu in the state in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of people infected by the deadly virus since January to 436, a senior state health department official said today.
"There were, however, no deaths in the state because of the disease today," West Bengal Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare, Moloy Dey told PTI.
Since January, swine flu has claimed 24 lives across the state.

Among the six new cases, four were from the city and one case each was reported from neighbouring Howrah and South 24 Parganas districts, he said.
He said 94 people were being treated at various hospitals in the state.
This year, so far, 324 people have been discharged from hospitals after their complete recovery from swine flu.
