At least seven persons were today killed and 14 injured when a jeep in which they were traveling collided head-on with a truck in Chandwaji area near here, police said.
The victims were traveling from Chandwaji to Chomu when the jeep was hit by a truck coming from opposite direction, police said.
All the 21 passengers were injured in the accident. They were rushed to a nearby hospital, where seven were declared dead, police said.
Condition of one is stated to be critical, SHO Chandwaji police station Surendra Singh said, adding further details are awaited.
