Seven persons have been killed in two different accidents near Achirikuupam and in Kanchipuram, police said today.
In the first accident in Chennai, four persons, including the driver of a tourist Sports Utility Vehicle, were killed on the spot when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with an oncoming lorry near Achirikuppam, 90 km from the city,.
The driver had picked up three persons from Chennai Airport and was taking them to Cuddalore when the mishap occurred last night, police said.

The second accident saw a woman, her male companion and her minor son die after the motorcyle they were riding on collided with another two wheeler at Guduvancheri.
While the woman died on the spot, the man and the boy succumbed to injuries in hospital today, police said.
