8 illegal mini gun factories busted in Munger, 7 held

Police have busted eight illegal mini gun factories in Bihar's Munger district and arrested seven persons in this regard, a senior police officer said on Wednesday.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team led by Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar) Hari Shankar Kumar raided several places and busted eight illegal mini gun factories on Tuesday night and arrested seven persons, Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Mangla said here.

Police seized eight base machines, four pieces of partially made pistols, eight pieces of 9 mm cartridges, 20 other cartridges of different bores, five pistol barrels, and various equipment to manufacture arms along with ammunition from the illegal mini gun factories, the SP said.

 

The raids were jointly conducted by Kasim Bazar, Jamalpur, Naya Ramnagar and Safiyasarai police stations, he said.

An FIR was lodged at Naya Ramnagar police station under Arms Act in this regard, the SP added.
