Abhishek only Indian in men's singles at Thailand Open

With no top Indian shuttlers in fray, Abhishek Yelegar will represent the country in men's singles at the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold scheduled to be held from September 29 to October 4.

The 20-year-old Yelegar will start his campaign against World No 28 and ninth seed Ng Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong at the Thunder Dome.

Besides Yelegar, Alwin Francis and Arun Vishnu will take on Chinese third seeds Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen, while M Anilkumar Raju and Gaurav Venkat will meet Malaysian pair of Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan in the men's doubles at the USD 120,000 tournament.
 

Arun and Aparna Balan will face Indonesian pair of Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Shendy Puspa Irawati, while Gaurav and Juhi Dewangan will square up against Japanese pair of Yuki Kaneko and Shizuka Matsuo in mixed doubles.
