SpiceJet's Chairman and Managing Director Ajay Singh has been named as 'Indian Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 for Business Transformation' by leading consultancy EY.
Singh turned around the fortunes of the budget airline, which was on the verge of shutting down in December 2014.
"I feel humbled and honoured to receive this award, which is a testament of the hard work put in by Team SpiceJet," Singh said in a statement issued by the airline.
