Alert sounded in coastal areas on a call on arrival of a boat

Police stations and check posts in Coastal areas in Ramanathapuram district had been put on alert following an anonymous call informing the arrival a boat from Sri Lanka in a couple of days.

Intelligence officials said they got the information last night and since then an alert has been sounded.

They have also alerted the other areas to find out if any boat had laned in their territory.
