Andal temple golden vimanam consecration on Jan 20

The 'Mahasamprokshanam', (consecration) of the newly built golden 'vimanam' atop the sanctum sanctorum of the famous Sri Andal temple here will be held on January 20.

Yagasala poojas in this connection would begin on January 16, Virudhunagar District Collector V.Rajaram said.

As part of security measures, Police would be deployed at important places and CCTV would be set up at important junctions and places inside the temple.

The main tower of the temple is the official emblem of the Tamil Nadu Government.
