The members of the Committee on Estimates (EC) of Andhra Pradesh Assembly, led by its Chairman Venugopal Reddy, today visited the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Secretariat and called on the Speaker Kavinder Gupta.
The Speaker apprised the visiting team about the functioning of the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly, Committee on Estimates and other related issues, an official spokesman said.
He also apprised the Committee members about the cultural and economic activities of the State.
During the meeting, Gupta and members of both the Committees discussed various issues related to the Assembly Secretariat.
The Committee on Estimate of Andhra Pradesh Assembly has invited the Speaker to visit their State for sharing the experiences of Andhra Pradesh.
The Speaker expressed hope that the Committee members would play the role of ambassadors and persuade the tourists from Andhra Pradesh to visit the Jammu and Kashmir.
Apart from Reddy, the other members of of the visiting team include M Geetha, T Shravan Kumar, C Bhaskar Reddy, V Kalpana, K Ventaka Ramana Murthy and P Viswa Prasad Rao.
