The police today found arms and ammunition from a car they were chasing to nab two wanted criminals on Phalodi-Bikaner Road.
Two pistols, ten live cartridges of 8 mm, six live cartridges of 6 bore, and a stolen Safari car were recovered last night, SP, Bikaner Santosh Chalke said.
The police was chasing two criminals -- Ramchandra Khileri and Ramkumar Lohawat -- wanted in cases of murder, attempt to murder, and dozens other crime cases in Bikaner division, Chalke said.
However, the two managed to escape in the cover of darkness, leaving the cache and vehicle at Panchu in Bikaner district, he said.
The criminals have fled towards Jaisalmer and efforts are on to nab them, police said.
